Engineered Timber Shutters
Our Engineered Timber shutter is our most popular, it is the most cost effective and is part of what we call the new technology range. This shutter is made out of laminated timber and medium density fiberboard which
produces one of the most stable shutters available.
Unlike timber, medium density fiberboard (MDF) does not have a grain pattern or direction and therefore performs extremely well with western sun and extreme weather changes. The engineered shutter is extruded
in conjunction with an additional Polypropylene coating which gives a smooth and even surface, with very good colour fastness.
This Timber Engineered shutter will never need painting and is scratch and dent resistant. As this product is produced using timber
strands and glue it is extremely dense and very good for high traffic areas. The engineered shutter in its raw form has a low resistance to moisture; however with the polypropylene coating the shutter becomes a fully sealed unit and performs very well against contained
amounts of moisture.
